About LiveNote
LiveNote is a notepad with one obsession: the moment you want to share a thought, nothing should stand between typing it and sending it.
Why we built it
Sharing a draft usually means exporting a file, attaching it, and realizing ten minutes later that the file is already out of date. LiveNote collapses that loop: your page has a URL from the second it exists, and everyone who opens that URL sees the page as it is, live, not as a snapshot from last Tuesday.
The product is deliberately small. No projects, no workspaces, no onboarding wizard. A page, a link, and the people you send it to.
What we optimize for
Speed to first word
One click from a blank tab to a cursor on a fresh page. No account, no wizard, no waiting.
Alive, not archived
Notes that update in front of everyone reading them, with history behind them so nothing is lost.
Privacy by architecture
End-to-end encryption happens in your browser, so a sealed note is unreadable to the server storing it.
Ads stay out of the way
LiveNote carries a small ad budget in clearly marked areas. Your notes are never the ad space, and blocking ads does not break anything.
How it works, plainly
LiveNote runs as a web app; there is nothing to install. When you create a note you get a unique link. Send that link to anyone and they can read it and, if you allow it, edit it alongside you in real time. You never need an account; accounts are optional, and exist to keep your notes organized across devices.
For anything sensitive, protect the note: gate it with a password, or turn on end-to-end encryption, which seals the content in your browser before it ever travels. The technical details are in the privacy policy.
How LiveNote pays for itself
Writing and sharing notes on LiveNote is free, with no feature behind a paywall and no upsell. The service is paid for by advertising: pages carry clearly marked Advertisement labels supplied by Google AdSense, kept out of the editor surface and out of your note content entirely.
That arrangement has one consequence worth stating plainly. Advertising partners can read the page a note is on and the general region you appear to be in, so do not put a work-in-progress note on a public link you care about if the fact of the link is itself sensitive. Use a password gate or end-to-end encryption when that matters, and understand that those protect the note body, not the fact that a link was visited. Everything else about how we handle data is in the privacy policy, and the advertising disclosure spells the commercial side out in full.
Who is behind it
LiveNote is built and operated by the operator of LiveNote — an independent developer, not a venture-backed team. There is no parent company, no data broker, and no business model that depends on reading what you write.
